Pilot rescued by kayakers after crashing into icy creek – WHIO TV 7 and WHIO Radio
Ann Arundel County, Maryland — The Good Samaritan raced to save the pilot of a small plane that crashed into a creek Monday morning.

Ann Arundel County Fire Department said on Twitter On Monday morning, I was called to the scene of the plane crash at Beards Creek. Photos shared by the fire department on social media show the plane completely submerged in water.
Witnesses told WRC-TV they were able to see the plane go low before hitting the ice.
Fire department officials said there was only one person on board, and private kayakers in the area rushed him out of the water. The pilot was taken to hospital, but firefighters said his injuries were not life-threatening.

“(The pilot) was fine when he was rescued,” an eyewitness told WRC-TV. “He was able to stand and walk.
