1. Cappella Pizzeria | Inverness
When the moon looks like a big pizza pie, that’s Capella Pizzeria. With wood-fired pizza, classical Italian music and European football on TV, this place transports you to Italy. I love the traditional margherita pizza so will try this new restaurant soon.
“Cappella’s cheese, flour, extra virgin olive oil and truffle oil are all imported from Italy, as are its Citterio Pepperoni and Sopressata. Our sausages are made by Italian families living north of Milan. , we use San Marzano tomatoes in our sauces and pride ourselves on using all natural ingredients in our recipes.”

2. Magic Milkshakes and More | Hoover
The recently soft-opened Magic Milkshakes & More is the perfect place to treat yourself. This family-owned ice cream shop in Hoover offers all of our favorites. From waffle sundaes to delicious milkshakes like Twix, sweet tooths will fall in love with this place.
3. Sunshine Creamery | Rocky Ridge
In early 2023, Rocky Ridge gets something sweet. According to Vestavia Voice, owner Jarrard and his two children Casey Ray came up with the idea for Sunshine Creamery. This bright and cheery ice cream shop offers 36 flavors, ice cream cakes, shakes, sundaes and other goodies.
4. Flower Betty | Vestavia Hills
Two of my favorite things in one place. According to Vestavia Voice, Coffee and Books is now part of Flower Betty, a flower business that has a separate entrance from the flower shop and a bookstore with seating and coffee carts. A great place to read your favorite book while sipping a latte.
