Officials say three people have died after falling into the ice while trying to take pictures on a frozen lake in Arizona.
Delegates responded to reports Monday afternoon that two men and a woman fell through the ice while walking on a frozen lake, according to the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s Department spokesman John Paxton told ABC News that the three victims were with five others at the lake at the time.
The victim was reportedly trying to take pictures on the ice when he fell about 25 to 35 yards from the shore.
According to Paxton, victims included a married couple with two children who were at the scene.
Their bodies were then recovered. The men were identified as Gokul Mediseti, 47, and Narayana Mudana, 49, and the woman as Harisa Mudana, according to the sheriff’s office. All lived in Chandler, Arizona, officials said.
