With the Winterfest Quests expiring, Epic Games has prepared another batch of Weekly Quests for players to earn XP boosts for the season’s Battle Pass. In addition to hunting and taming wildlife, players will be tasked with using Kinetic Ole to travel distances.
Here’s what the Kinetic Ore is, where it is on the map, and how to complete Fortnite quests to travel with it.
What is Fortnite Kinetic Ore?
Kinetic Oars are purple glowing blocks around the Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 map.
Hitting a Kinetic Ore with a pickaxe will launch it in the direction you are facing, destroying buildings and damaging players it hits. .

How to travel distance with Kinetic Ore in Fortnite
The most consistent way to travel distance with Kinetic Ore in Fortnite is to aim skyward when hitting rocks with a pickaxe and climb up before firing.
Your character must stay on top of the Kinetic Ore flying through the air, but you’ll probably need to do that several times to cover the 1,000 meters required for the challenge.
