WATCH- Rishabh Pant’s terrible car crash caught on CCTV; cricketer suffers injuries to head, back and knee

Indian keeper batter Rishab Punt was involved in a car accident on the Dehradun-Delhi highway near Roorkee while visiting family. He was driving his Mercedes SLE car when he crashed into a partition near Narsan, which burst into flames moments later.

Meanwhile, Pant manages to escape the car before it bursts into flames by smashing the windshield and escaping. According to the police and hospital, Rishab Pant has lacerations to his forehead and other parts of his body, as well as ligament damage to his right knee.

He was taken to Rookie Civil Hospital for first aid and then transferred to Max’s Hospital in Dehradun for further treatment, including X-rays and MRI scans. Dr. Ashish Yagnik of Max Hospital said Pant’s condition is stable and under observation.

“The cricketer’s reshab pants are under the scrutiny of orthopedics and plastic surgeons. his condition is stable. His detailed medical bulletin will be released as soon as he is examined.then go to next step‘” he said in an official statement.

When the accident happened, Punt was driving from Delhi to his home in Roorkee to surprise his mother and spend New Years with his family. Police reportedly said Punt fell asleep while driving the car and caused the accident.

Meanwhile, Dr Sushil Nagar, who treated the punt during the emergency, said the cricketer’s main injuries were in his “forehead and knees”.

“Initial X-rays show no broken bones and no burns on Pant’s body, even though his car caught fire. His pants have two lacerations on his forehead, one just above his left eye. He has a torn ligament in his knee.and a scrape on his back,” Dr. Nagar was quoted by ESPNCricinfo as saying:.

Rishabh Pant was recently seen in the Second Test against Bangladesh, scoring an impressive 93 to help India win the match by three wickets. He was not named in the Indian team for the home whiteball series against Sri Lanka and was asked to report to the NCA for strength and conditioning training.
