Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula will open the 948-mile Tren Maya route by the end of the year, connecting Caribbean resorts such as Cancun with inland cities and cultural sites.
And for very grand travelers there is the Orient Express La Dolce Vita. His new 11-car train from the Accor Hotels Group, with interiors inspired by the Italian decor of the 1960s and his 1970s, will visit Italian cities such as Rome, Venice, Siena, Matera and Palermo.
