Immigration restrictions from China
Many countries have recently announced restrictions on travelers from China.
UK: From 5 January, passengers from China must test negative for COVID-19 before departure.
we: From 5 January, travelers from China will be required to show a negative test result taken at least 2 days before departure from China, Hong Kong or Macau.
France: France requires a negative COVID-19 test 48 hours before departure, and from January random PCR tests will be conducted on arrivals from China.
Australia: Chinese travelers to Australia will be required to submit a negative COVID-19 test result from 5 January.
India: India requires negative test results for arrivals from China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea and Thailand. Passengers from these countries will be quarantined if they show symptoms or test positive.
Japan: Japan now requires travelers from mainland China to test negative for COVID-19 upon arrival. Those who test positive must be quarantined for 7 days. The government will also limit requests from airlines to increase flights to China.
Italy: Milan’s main airport, Malpensa, has already started screening passengers arriving from Beijing and Shanghai.
Korea: South Korea requires travelers from China to provide negative COVID test results before departure.
Morocco: From January 3, Morocco has banned entry from China, regardless of nationality.
Spain: Spain requires travelers from China with a negative COVID-19 test upon arrival or a full course of vaccination against the disease.
Malaysia: Malaysia will screen all incoming travelers for fever and test wastewater from aircraft arriving from China for COVID-19.
Taiwan: All passengers on direct flights from China and on ships with two offshore islands must undergo a PCR test upon arrival.
Canada: Air travelers from China to Canada must test negative for COVID-19 at least 2 days before departure.
